I Feel Sorry for the Spider

Little Miss Muffet sat on a tuffet

Eating her curds and whey,

When in the corner of her eye

She saw something that made her cry

But instead of running away …

Up on her feet, so the creature she could meet

Whilst holding back the tears,

Curiosity made her wonder

When all of sudden there was thunder

And she was confronted by all of her fears.

The ghoulish figure was suddenly much bigger

So she tried her best to scream,

But as the creature grabbed her arm

She yelled out in alarm

And dropped down to her shaking knees.

It’s pointed teeth and fangs beneath

Sunk deep into her flesh,

The blood it did pour

As she fell to the floor

The entire scene was a gory mess.

Little Miss Muffet and her blood stained tuffet

Was a horrific tale full of pain,

No nursery rhyme

Should tell such a crime

So a poor spider got the blame.
